Pain meds messing with Mr D

Re: Carers under 30...

Yeah the suppory here is great. Its just me atm. Struggling to accept it. Trying bot to burden others. That sort of thing. Theres abit of tension on the le side of things making it abit awkward for me to be here. @Former-Member plus ive had a kidney infection and recovering from pneumonia still. So ive got the nebulizer and more antibiotics (round 4) and the chronic pain has decided to rear its ugly head so on full throttle pain meds again.

Pop has his ct scan tomorrow and results monday or Tuesday. Hes been going really well actually.

Sorry the pain meds are stuffing mr d around. I hope things improve for both you and him

How are you coping?

Re: Carers under 30...

Hey @outlander
My little petal, hoping that as your infections heal that you will start to feel a bit better mentally. Important to take care of yourself in relation to getting good sleep etc.

Re: Carers under 30...

your  such a cutie @Former-Member

yeah finally the chest infection is clearing up so no more nebs and can breathe easier now which is helping alot. and the kidney infection is gone i think, still getting quite a few painful twinges but will see how it goes.

my mental health atm is th worst its been for a long while. im finding it hard to adjust to the change of it just being me and pop in the house as well, an tips?

im not sleeping well at all but that comes with stress more atm, starting to work out a pattern. the more stress the less sleep i have.

im still waiting on pops test results which is still really worrying. but he has the results, if it was bad we wouldve got a call by now wouldnt we? its been almost a week since hes had the results.

pop is telling me 2 different stories

1. he will ring only if theres something wrong

2. he will ring to let me know the results.

pop wont let me make an appointment to his gp either. but i really need some answers. im really tempted to open the results in the scans and read it becasue im fretting not knowing.

besides even mh professionals giving up on me, thats me atm

how are you going? is Mr D improving since his surgury? i remember you saying that he was coming off pain meds slowly.. hows that going for both him and how your handling him as well

Re: Carers under 30...

@outlander

Change is difficult at any time but even more so with MH and being physically unwell.

Emotional hygiene is oh so important, this along with self care needs to be ramped up, (which includes getting adequate sleep at night).

Have you got an easy to understand treatment plan in place? If so, now is the time to be using it. Do you have a case worker you can connect with?

Must get some sleep here, Mr D struggling a bit, we ALL need sleep
