Hey @Former-Member @Smc @Former-Member 👋 💕

Yes, there is someone in the LE forum with a passion for papier-mâché too @Smc.  I have just gotten into it with the Art course and I can see already how addictive this could be .... in a good way .... lol

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Some people are just so talented with arts and crafts. Have seen some beautiful papier mache things that people have made.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

We've got one spot in our house where I decided to put together a budget "feature wall". I made the kind of flour paste used for paper mache and stuck the classified pages from The Weekly Times over it, plus a few newspaper cartoons. It looked good, particularly once the paper aged and yellowed a bit, but when we moved in our new rodent-proof steel cabinet pantry a few years ago, it had to go in front of it.
It won't be a permanent feature anyway, because the wall it was "improving" is the dreaded asbestos cement sheet. However, I may repeat the idea somewhere in the house where it can be a more long term thing.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Oooooh ...... I would LOVE to papier-mâché the walls of our house ...,,😆😁👍

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

In a previous house we had 'wrap around' underneath a bar that was old boards with newspaper from around 1920 stuck to them.  These were collected when someone we knew found them behind other walls when they renovated.
