Ta @outlander. I might go for a cheesy mouse. 🙂
@Determined@AdgeI've been on Puffing Billy once. Lovely train, but unfortunately my experience was marred by getting a bit of soot in my eye. Very painful.
One of my happiest childhood memories was one winter when my Dad bundled my sister and I into the car because he'd heard a steam whistle as a train arrived at the local station. It was last stop for the night, so when we got there the train was over in the yard, ready to cool down. Dad took us across the tracks and asked the driver and engineer if we could come up into the cab. We sat there for an hour or more, along with another dad plus kids, listening to the adults swapping steam train stories and watching the glowing embers in the firebox.
Our current home town occasionally gets steam trains running through it too, so we repeated the "train chasing" experience with our own kids, but sadly it wasn't stopping at our station. Still, we managed to see it go past the platform, and then got to the railway crossing down the road in time to see it again. 🙂

Our boys loved the train @Smc but bub was not pleased with being in the engine. Too much hissing and spitting I think. S1 was having a grand discussion with the driver about how cool it would be to crash into stuff and destroy it. Wanted to know where the steering wheel was. I considered explaining th the driver about S1 but decided too hard. I feel bad being embarrassed sometimes as he really is quite in his own world but we love him anyway. He is who he is. They are still talking about it and asking if we can go again.

Nothing like visitors to motivate one into house cleaning @Anna88.

@Former-Member The downside is the cleaning and the upside was getting to shop at Kmart to buy things for my empty guest bathroom. It's so pretty I don't actually want anyone to use it haha
