A long rave

Re: A long rave

So sorry to hear about the diabetes @Shaz51.  Hoping you can control it with diet and don't need insulin shots daily.  As if you didn't have enough on your plate already.

Re: A long rave

Good to hear your kidney disease is stable, @Shaz51. What a shame that diabetes is part of it and that you now have it. I hope it's not too difficult to adjust your life to that. Hugs. Heart

@eth, yes, the problem with notifications hasn't been solved yet, but they are working on it. How has your day been?

Re: A long rave

@Mazarita  my day's been ok I guess - had a good walk with bro and brought back some lunch which I still have half of for dinner tonight.  Have been in a weird headspace tho' - pretty saturated with NDIS information from a couple of really good resources I've detailed on the NDIS thread.  Dipping in and out of all that with a telly break mid afternoon.  I'm feeling restless at the moment and don't want to do any more of it today, but don't feel like much else either.

How was your afternoon?

By the way, I agree about celibacy being less stressful for the time being.  I think I need to get my life more on track and balanced before I try to share it.  Plus I don't meet many single people as it is, and the ones that are I haven't been interested in that way.   I really only meet new people through bro and sil and the ones I've got on best with have either been too young or gay.  But I have made a couple of contacts that might well develop into valued friendships.

Re: A long rave

@eth, just got the notification for your last one. I've been tired all day and sleeping most of it. It picked up slightly a bit later, but I still feel pretty whacked. Now organising take away fried rice from the Chinese place for dinner. Visit to my close friend after dinner will probably pick me up.

I also think I've been recovering from the big day yesterday. Also may be recovering from the anaesthetic at the dentist. She told me it sometimes does weird things to people, either tired or hyper sometimes. I have a sore throat from it, and a fair sized mouth ulcer. Looked it up on the net. Apparently vigorous cleaning of the teeth at the dentists, as they did yesterday, can bring on both problems afterwards. Just have to be patient while it all settles down again, I guess.

Re: A long rave

Not surprised that you'd need a recovery day after yesterday @Mazarita.  When I had teeth of my own (lost the last several after the dv assault)  I found out that the regular anaesthetic used contains ventolin - which gave me adrenalin rushes and palpitations and when that wore off I was exhausted for a day or two afterwards.  They can use a different anaesthetic that doesn't have it but that didn't work for me the time it was tried.  After 3 shots of it I could still feel everything acutely.  I believe having work done in our mouth can be quite traumatic and invasive - so it's natural to need recovery time.  Hope your visit with your friend picks you up a bit.

Re: A long rave

Hi @eth

Nice to meet you.

Is there an NDIS thread.

Re: A long rave

yes @Mazarita, @eth on tablets now and do my blood sugar  morning and night  and then doctors next week and then the dietician xx

Re: A long rave

Darling Mazzy @Mazarita I went for a late walk. I was waiting for a aussie post delivery and when it came I wore my cute new pink coat and ventured outside for a walk. It was beautiful and I saw mummy eagle 😄 flying high watching me as I stood there like a mad thing with a big grin on my face watching her glide in the wind. Magnificient !

Re: A long rave

@eth@outlander Good evening to my dear friends eth and outlander thank you for your earlier greetings. Wishing you both and everyone a magical evening ahead 😄 xx

Re: A long rave

Hi @Twinklelight and welcome if you're new to the forums.  Yes there's a thread I started called 'Anyone started with the NDIS'  which details the journey I had from first applying to eventually being accepted.  And continues from there recently.  Other people have also shared how it's been for them.  Hope it has useful information for you.  Feel free to share your NDIS journey there too.

@Bunniekins Hi!!  Sounds like you love your new coat.  The other day I went for a walk at the beach with my sw and we saw an osprey sitting on a lamp post.  I was just like you ... staring upwards with a grin on my face.  Who cares what anyone else thought, their loss if they didn't see it.

@Shaz51  I hope the tablets stabilize things for you.
