Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Hi @Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@BlueBay@Appleblossom@Former-Member

I hope you have all had a lovely Easter weekend. I hope @Former-Member managed to catch up on some sleep. That is what I have been trying to do and nursing a migraine for the last couple of days. That's why I have been a bit quiet on this forum, my physical health has declined but I hope to strengthen once my sleep pattern becomes normal. It all takes time I guess. How are you going @Former-Member. Hope you enjoyed this break with your children @BlueBay and thanks for thinking of me. Am thinking of you both always 🤗💕

Hi @Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@BlueBay@Appleblossom@Former-Member

I hope you have all had a lovely Easter weekend. I hope you managed to catch up on some sleep @Former-Member and are feeling better.

That is what I have been trying to do together with nursing a migraine for the last couple of days. That's why I have been a bit quiet on this forum, my physical health has declined but I hope to strengthen once my sleep pattern becomes normalised. It all takes time I guess. How are you going @Former-Member? Hope you enjoyed this break with your children @BlueBay and thanks for thinking of me. Am thinking of you both always 🤗💕

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Hi @Former-Member ooh a migraine shite arent they!! Hopefully your abit better now
How was your easter?

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Hi @Former-Member

Yes, migraines aren't much fun. The Easter break has been very quiet as I haven't been up to much. Did manage to spend some time with friends and sent to church on Good Friday but my energy levels are low. I miss the vibrant me but I am sure she will be back again soon. How was your Easter? 🤗

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

It was pretty crap @Former-Member but ill get over it
I dont know a vibrant me anymore im glad you still in touch with that part of you though. Hopefully that headache buggers off for you soon! Good to hear you seen your friends though

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Thanks @Former-Member

You and me will get that vibrancy back. I know how hard it can be to lose fervour for life and feel down. Don't lose hope, we will find our way back. For me it's physical reasons caused by lack of sleep and stress. But I never lose sight of my dreams. Hold onto yours even if they seem against the odds. Here for you if you ever want to talk or vent.💕

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Yeah its very hard @Former-Member ive thought about doing myself in quite a few times and its gard to see a light in a very dark tunnel. Ive got a range of everything lol but ive got chronic insomnia that im trying to overcome that evrn strong sleeping tablrts are having trouble taking over. And thank you for the offer. Im here for you too 💜 💜

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Ahh yes @Former-Member, very hard to see the light when in that dark place. I so relate - that's when we need others light/friendship to help us through. I am so glad you never harmed yourself, we never know what is around the corner and the best of life is yet to come.

Insommia would be a big part of why you are feeling the way you do. Sleep deprivation causes havoc to the mind and body - when the body is weak the mind follows. I am taking a larger dose of what sleep meds (against my better judgement but left with no choice - can't take anything else). And they are helping me get my sleep back to normal. Once that is established my mood should lift judging by past experience. Are you busy during the day @Former-Member?

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

Ive SH but never got to fully doing myself in despite everything @Former-Member. Yeah i often only get 3 hrs of sleep and thats been for a few years ao im on strong tablets but even they dont over power it just yet hopefully soon
During the day i am quite busy im a full time carer studying and a main carer for my 2 younger sisters amd if its not them then im at appointments

Re: Living with PTSD (Potentially Triggering Material)

You are living on the edge my friend @Former-Member. I am also a carer - that can be enormous stress, not to mention studying and no sleep on top of that. I am not surprised you are feeling low. Too much responsibility with little joy, with little respite.

Sounds like you may be suffering burn out. I know stress well and sometimes we have to take some time out for our own health and well being. I hope you can find some time to do something relaxing for you and bring some joy back into your life. We all deserve some of that now and then.

But I know when life is demanding that is difficult. But one day soon your sisters will be old enough to take care of themselves and life will ease off some for you and your life will get better - hope onto that image. xxx
