Living with Ourselves

Re: Living with Ourselves

@Sophia1

Gotta love how our brains work. They are our own worst enemies are they making us worry over everything and anything. I think you handled yesterdays situation quite well it can be tricky hanging around with a more fidgety type of person- cannot think of a better word lol.

Anyways.... what are your plans for today?

Re: Living with Ourselves

I went through a high anxiety stage where I couldn't take Toby for beach walks as I couldn't be around other people @Sophia1 then I got sick again and now it is winter - so the exercise bike is what I am left with to avoid the cold and any further viruses/infections. It is annoying but necessary to regain some kind of physical strength.

You are right - we can only do what we can!

Take care of yourself too Hon Heart

Re: Living with Ourselves

hello @outlander

I had to laugh when you said you could not remember reading about something that I had said...you were going to look back..

I immediatey thought   good luck with finding it I can't even remember what I said myself and now I can't remember what you wrote about either......

question mark next to silence...sorry ...I thought that you had stepped back in the background...self care stuff..

If you haven't no need for concern...just ignore what I said...

confusion reigning fulltime at the moment.....

so am just going to allow it to do it's thing....stave off anxiety that way..

I had session with psychotherapist this morning...

this afternoon or soon ....session on bike...which I mentioned earlier in response to someone  I loathe the bike...necessary as unable to do my walking yet...

fun stuff like doing some washing....

I actually found a site the other week...had forgotten about this...about starting to write fiction....a bucket list item for me...well I surprised myself and achieved the first exercise...the idea then was to share it with others on the site and receive a critique from each...

well in the interim I was interrupted ....lost the site...can't remember what it was called...there are so many...most want you to pay...

will spend a short time searching again...if cannot find...will try something else...

How are things with your hand after physiotherapy  session this morning?

Re: Living with Ourselves

@Zoe7

are you able to take Toby for short walks at least now?

How is Toby coping with the change?

I have been reading a novel about a youngish male who is in a dilemma about who he is?

what's new about that she says to herself...

I think it is partly what drew me to read the book....as well  as two dogs that he ends up looking after for his brother who is away in another country....

I am thoroughly enjoying the concept of the dog/youngish male relationship and how much they influence his life...walking the dogs comes into the story of course...hence my mentioning it...

Re: Living with Ourselves

I am sure Toby misses the beach @Sophia1 he has become a bit of a 'brat' at home when he doesn't get enough attention - but that is mostly at night. He doesn't like the colder weather either and spends most of his time inside snuggled up next to me on the doona - like mother like son lol I need to start taking him out for short walks again when I can walk myself.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Haha i do that all the time. I cant remember half the stuff ive said either @Sophia1

Oh yes i have stepped back alot, i thought had refferred to something else. All good. Yep i just contribute when and where i can till i can get things under control a little more.

For your anxiety theres a thread that might help. Will find it for you and link it here.

How did you go at therapy today? Hows your physio going? (Only if you want to talk about those of course)

I ride the exercise bike daily too. I dont really like walking on my own esp if my mh has gone down like it has.

Fiction writing is good. I hope you can find the site. Maybe check your browser history? And then save the site to your favourites?
Feel free to share some here too. Would love to read some of your writings.

Physio went ok. Spent alot of the time on the tens machine. She wanted to give me another exercise but trying to do that one didnt go as planned she realised it was too much too soon. So for now she has asked me to alternate my days at home ( physio one day, rest the next) as its all flaring up too much and not being given a chance to heal in between. I see her again in 2 weeks unless i have any issues then can email/ring and see if she can help over the phone( if she is avaliable and isnt too serious) or make an appt

Re: Living with Ourselves

Re: Living with Ourselves

This thread here might help...

Or this one

@Sophia1

Re: Living with Ourselves

I can imagine Imagin Dragons playing too @Sophia1 @outlander Smiley Tongue

I actually have a basket on the front of my bike that Toby sits in - when we have gone too far I used to ride back- he gets his walk in and we return home quickly - a win-win for us both. I can't use the bike right now but hopefully after my back settles down a bit more we can get back into it. I would much rather cycle than walk - unless we are on the beach.

I am thoroughly enjoying our chats too @Sophia1 - hope to catch up with you a bit later.
