@outlander It is really pooey that women cannot walk when and where they want to. It is not right and it hasn't changed over all these years either ... when I go out early I always carry my keys in my hand like knuckle dusters for protection. I remember a cop saying that years ago and to go for the eyes.
Now you would probably be charged for assaulting the attacker and now they would say to either allow the assault to occur or blame you for being there in the first place.

Thanks @Sophia1 It's a stand-alone supermarket, with street shops next to it.
There is no internal "shopping centre" as such, so no centre management.
I could try to speak to the Vietnamese supermarket people, not sure how far that would get me.
I drove all the way to the MH support group yesterday. The date was correct, but no-one turned up (not even the organiser), cancelled or something without notice.
I hope you have been sleeping better.

Hello @greenpea @outlander @Adge @Maggie @Former-Member @Owlunar @eudemonism
and all others about the forums
walking at night is not safe for any gender these days....even during the day in some areas..
adge if you feel threatened within your own community that is not how life should be...I wonder if others feel the same way...I suppose there are venues where you can voice your concerns...local newspaper? Police station? Up to you how you feel..not for me to push you to do something that you don't feel comfortable about...only suggestions..I do mean well and care about your welfare...mental health group cancelled without notification is rude...or perhaps an oversight? They might appreciate feedback...again up to you..
hoping that you all have. Restful day..
mine will be very quiet after early morning going to bed...
take care all
