I love it. I have seen this when it was shown in an exhibit at the Tarawarra Gallery by Wendy. It is a very large piece. I remember sitting in front of it for an hour. It’s very complex.

Okay, so here is my latest art project. Just finished it yesterday. It's coloured pencils, not paint, so unfortunately you can see the pencil strokes in some areas. Not ideal. Anyway, do you like it? I just recently dragged out the pencils the past couple of weeks in an effort to distract and relax. I become very engrossed in it once I start. I only wish I was a little bit better at it. Oh well.

@Former-Member, if you're OK with a bit of critique?
Your shading is good. I like the colour gradations that you've used for the folds of the dress. The colouring of the hair is great. Again, a combination of shades has given it a lot of life. The hands and arms are in an awkward position which means there's a lot of visual foreshortening. Getting the sense of prespective right with an irregular form (such as the human body) is really hard. I did life drawing as part of my studies, and poses where a limb was foreshortened from my position were a bit of a nightmare to get right! Face is pretty good, but the skintone looks a little bit flat. You could probably get away with a bit more careful shading there to get a bit more scupting of the face. Left hand looks pretty good, right hand looks a bit out of shape. All in all though, it's definitely getting there, particularly if you haven't used pencils for a while. I wouldn't do so well at the moment. I'm long out of practice!

Hi @Smc, oh yes, I am definitely okay with some critique. I am a totally newby at anything to do with art. I started last year, just a bit of general sketching. But I am still ver new at it. I never did anything art related at school, nor since, until last year really. So I really appreciate your advice, both the good bits and the not so good bits. My pack of coloured pencils are only a pack of 12, so colours were pretty limited. I see what you mean with hands, arms, and the face. I will try to work on that when I next undertake a project. Thanks ..... xx
Thanks also for the 'likes' from @Shaz51 and @Former-Member. Appreciate the encouragement.

@Former-Member, if you just started last year, and have no formal training, then you've definitely got some natural talent and a good eye there. Wow.
