One of my old horses, Comet never used to come to his name. He used to come when I yelled out "Treat" though. In other words, I had to use bribery to catch him... the naughty boy. He was also terrified of the savvy stick and savvy string when I tried Parelli with him. He never quite got the hang of it, even if he did walk on the float happily in the end (knowing he'd get hay and treats probably did it).

Oh yes, I've heard of Buck. There was an information stall at equitana a few years back about his style of natural horsemanship. It works particularly well with rescue horses I believe.
Hahaha Comet loved licorice too! He also loved molasses licks mainly used for cattle. He broke into the neighbour's cow paddock once just to get to one - the lil' devil!

similar to parelli but better @Queenie and id much rather his methods. so i incorparate bits and pieces as im not fully into natural horsemanship- while i ahve nothing against it, ive jsut been brought up very differently to his style but the way i work works for me and it works for the horse too. im very gentle with them but still firm when need to be
haha lol naughty pony!
