yeah job is 200ks away would need to find accom for 4 nites/week plus work out something to do with cat here. so still not straightforward if get it. you are right tho, saw ad in QLD offering $5k sign on bonus lol said to person at DES may as well apply interstate, they were taken aback, I said hey, not much dif, if have to pay for accom in Adelaide eg .. @greenpea
I have motel where sorta know owner who would cut me a deal on accom,plus it 3star, might cos $300 for 4 nites , but not close to job. friend offered accom but they are like an hours drive from workplace said to brother could stay at pub, of course he scoffed at that as he is reformed alcoholic, I stayed in pub many times over last 12 mths going to appts in city. drinking was common, but not drinking was more common. its an Adventure anyways as workmate used to say years ago..
