Re: Seeing Red!

Yes @Former-Member ..... just supporting someone in the wider family with a tough issue to face this afternoon. Hopefully they will be okay.

Re: Seeing Red!

Thanks @outlander ......

Re: Seeing Red!

WOW @Faith-and-Hope that is gorgeous!!!

Did you say your still working out watercolour penicils! Are you sure!

Re: Seeing Red!

Looks better on-screen than irl @outlander ..... but thanks ..... I'm thinking I like it ..... 😊

Re: Seeing Red!

no way @Faith-and-Hope i think it would look even more amazing then on screen

love it! wish i could frame it for here! as well as many of your other paintings- think ill need to make a f&h gallery 😉

Re: Seeing Red!

You can print it off if you like @outlander ..... just write F&H in the bottom corner for me 🌷

Re: Seeing Red!

really! thank you! @Faith-and-Hope  are you working on any other art projects atm?

im not happy with the way mine turned out so not putting it up here

Re: Seeing Red!

Keep working with it @outlander ...... I have learned to go past the point where I think a piece has "failed" and keep experimenting with it anyway ......

Try adding in some purple to the background maybe ...... or green, or blue ...... these colours will make the red of the poppy really "pop".

If your watercolour pencils have a variety of reds, use them all in the poppy ..... and maybe pink and orange too ..... play with it. It doesn't matter if you end up messing it up entirely cos you're already not happy with it ..... some magic may happen.
