@TAB yeah go to your aircon and clean dust off your filters. I checked my filters again over a week ago and there was a bit of dust but not much.

Just pull the filters out on a regular basis and clean them TAB or your aircon's performance may get compromised. I bought my aircon in 2021 and now its making strange noises. Had it on continuously overnight at 20 degrees when we had the coldsnap the past couple of days. It should be working ok, the filters were clean. I checked. Making a strange decompression sound as if its expelling air like a flat tire or something

With battery company they refused my recent request to have things in writing as I sensed something dodgy going on. Will speak to consumer affairs on Monday to get an idea how to respond. Plenti offered some money to cover it plus agreement with govt loan and extra money from me. A messy proposal which I declined. If it goes to court then maybe thats what has to happen. I don't want them on my property. If they wind up here I can tell them its trespass

I hav e cleaned it  ok outside unit looks bit dirty, but dont know a=enough about that. googles sez either 

1. dirty
2. valve stuck
3. not enuf gas 

works ok on cool, but not brilliant so there is a problem

wont heat barely at all thats the main give away

@TAB you'll need it for summer. I'm a bit worried about my unit. These appliances aren't the same as the well built units of the past. I think mine may still be within warranty. I'm sorry similar has happened to you. Maybe get it serviced might be a good option like I am. My aircon is made by Rinnai so its a good name if that means anything lol I held onto my invoice and left a message with the dude that sold it to me so should hear from him on Monday.

Thanks @StuF for your sentiments. I just dunno anymore. Astrology said I would have to stand up for myself until the 8th August. Have been wearing ruby for diplomacy and non aggressive communication and garnet for dealing with hopeless situations. Mercury is going gandata which means people will feel they are drowning in situations both figuratively and literally. Green Jasper is great for those complex emotions.
