I'm in a nest

Re: I'm in a nest

Hi sorry that you had a bad night I can relate to nightmares. Hope your night is peaceful tonight!

Re: I'm in a nest

Thanks @Mazarita 💗 Thinking of you often, epsecially in the mornings with my coffee. Hope the last couple of days have been good for you.

Hi @Gypsy7 and thank you too 🙂 Nice to 'meet' you.

Today is a much better day 🙂 Feeling calm and under control even through the hectic pace, and having lots of smiles with the littles. I'm sneaking in a quick coffee in the sunshine between adventures at the moment.

Hope the sun is shining for you all too 💛

Re: I'm in a nest

Hey @CheerBear, I think of you when the birds sound around dawn and when I am coming home from my friend's place, around the backstreets, where the magnificent sun of this warm winter shines bright on patches of green grass. The brightness of a particular incline especially reminds me of you. Heart

So glad to hear your day has been happier. Sunshine is so good for us. Smiley Very Happy

I was out again on the beach to meet another friend today. We did lots of good walking, feet treating me well. My friend is going through a troubled time and we talked at length about it. Even though what she says about herself is hard to hear, I like hanging with my soul sister.

I am going through pretty good times myself, give or take a few glitches. Hoping the good times will last for a while. Smiley Happy

Hi again @Gypsy7@Shaz51 and all. Hope the evening treats everyone well in the nest. Heart

Re: I'm in a nest

Nice one with the new bag and trip to the city, @Shaz51. We just had steak and mashed potatoes here, made by C. I needed a good solid meal and it was delicious. The day here was good. Napped in the afternoon to catch up on sleep I didn't get last night. Tell Mr Shaz I'd really like to see some more photographs some day. ox

Re: I'm in a nest

@CheerBear Hi there, I'm just butting in here as I've only read bits and pieces. I'm wondering if you have Catholic care where you are. I have recently got a flat through them. You don't have to be Catholic or anything. Just a thought. I was in housing but it was very rough where I was and managed to get this flat through housing connect. Anyway, I won't go on and on in case it's useless info for you.

I'm sorry things have been rough for you @CheerBear, and glad the sun is out and a little better today. Hopeing you have a better night tonight. Thinking of you.

Re: I'm in a nest

@CheerBear So glad there is sunshine, adventure and a few smiles with littlies.

Hello @Gypsy7 & @Maggie I have not been around the forum for a while so trying to get Up to date.

Re: I'm in a nest

You gave me a big smile @Mazarita, thank you. I love hearing that you're enjoying the company of your friends. I think they'd be pretty lucky people to get to hang out with you on a long walk. Happy to hear you're going well and hope it keeps up like that!

Hi @Shaz51 🙂 Nice to hear you've had a good day too.

Hiya @Maggie and thanks heaps for coming past and for your suggestion. The housing situation is really complicated because of what happened for us to need housing support in the first place. We're already supported through a housing program but it isn't working for us. We were one of the first (the first for the organisation we are supported by) to actually go through this program, and they're now realising it is not without it's major issues. It means we're sort of stuck because even if there were other organisations with spaces for us, they wouldn't necessarily take us because we're in a program anyway. Add absolutely bananas wait lists, and our situation falling under a specific kind of needs group, and we have very few options. Private rental should be able to happen, given that's always been how I have managed, but things got very messy with the big bang, putting us at a huge disadvantage and reducing our ability to actually have one approved. My case manager comes from a housing background and has exhausted all other options as well. We have a bit of a plan now and some time (if I/we can tolerate the yuck) up our sleeve to get something. Thank you again for the suggestion, and your time in replying though 🙂
