Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Yes, you are right @Former-Member Some of those gas heaters really do look like wood heaters.

Very romantic-looking, & don't need any wood either....

Goodnight @Shaz51 Sleep well, I hope...

Yes, being positive does take a lot of energy (when others aren't).

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Efficiency would probably outweigh aesthetics @Adge but have not looked into that aspect as we don't have that option. Would not want a wood heater if we lived in town.

That’s lovely @outlander x

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Hello Goodnight everyone.

Bit chilly here. I haven't gotten the wood stove started today, so we're wearing the extra jumpers. On cold days, I walk around looking very well padded with multiple layers of everything. Smiley Tongue about to go to bed and looking forward to tucking under the warm wooly blankets while listening to the rain happening outside.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Ta @Former-Member. Dinner's running late, so they'd hit the spot!

I've got the wood stove running tonight, plan was to do a roast chicken dinner in it, but it's being too sluggish. At this rate, we'd be eating at midnight, so the chook has been transferred to the electric oven. Vegs are getting a slow start in the wood stove before joining the chook, and the cauli cheese should cook OK on the stovetop.

Not sure why it's being so unresponsive. Maybe it's the lag of the cold metal warming up, as it's been a few weeks since I've run it.
