Re: A long rave

@eth  just finished watching Cold Pursuit with Liam Neeson :D. Son2 really enjoyed it which is great and so did I for that matter. I love all the abc and bbc crime shows and even the ncis series. What do you like?

Re: A long rave

Very similar taste to you @Bunniekins .  Seem to prefer the British shows to the USA ones.  But watching both atm...whatever's on the telly.  Lots of NCIS on atm - every night.  The Capture on ABC is really good.  Most recently enjoying the Informer on iView too.  Also enjoy some Aussie shows like Mystery Road (new season starting this week I think) with the gorgeous Aaron Pederson, and Miss Fysher's Murder Mysteries.   Dr Blake pretty good too - available on iView.

Hi @Owlunar   nice to see you again.  Hope you're not in too much pain today.  Love your thoughtful posts.

@MDT   I don't have hotplates in the cabin, just microwave and bench top mini oven/grill and the electric jug.  I just use a plunger for my coffee.  The secret is buying decent coffee to start with (often out of my budget).

Re: A long rave

@eth  yes my mum is really into Capture atm. I also like Silent Witness but often it can be a bit too gruesome.

Re: A long rave

Good morning to all coming here today.  @Former-Member @Mazarita @Bunniekins @Owlunar @MDT @Zoe7 @Angels333 @Maggie @outlander @Shaz51 @Molliex @Former-Member @CheerBear @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope @Exoplanet @frog @Teej  @TAB @Adge  hope today has started gently for you all.  I haven't read all the individual posts from those of you that tagged me yet but wanted to say hi and check in first.

Doing a fairly good job of loosely sticking to my daily schedule - day 4 now I think.  So far I've had 1/2  a ciggie, coffee, made my bed, made a video of our vegie garden for family chat group online and shared it (haven't done that before), shared a photo of it on fb too (will try to download it and share it here in a bit), washed, dressed, put my washing away (do 1 chore is on my routine list) and taken my meds.  Been up for nearly 2 hours.  One of my challenges is not turning the computer on as soon as I open my eyes - sometimes it's the things we don't do as much as what we do that needs to be structured into the routine.

Spent over 4 hours making yarn from an old t-shirt yesterday and starting crocheting a slipper from it.  It looked like it would fit a yetti by the time I finished the 4th row  so I pulled it all out - need to find a different pattern specifically for t-shirt yarn clearly. YouTube is so good for that type of thing. Spending at least a few hours doing activities off line in the afternoon is also part of my attempt at having a routine.

So I'm ticking the boxes (metaphorically) and it feels good.  Time is passing a little more quickly than it has over the 4 weeks I've had no supports or done anything out in the world.

So that's my little rave for the morning.

Hope you are all managing ok and getting some self-care in in these long days of social distancing.  Really glad to see the forums helping so many people cope a bit better at the moment.  Take care and stay kind everyone xoxo

Re: A long rave

Re: A long rave

Hi @eth

That looks as if you have been doing a lot of work - what sort of vegies are you growing there.

It's a great photo too - and I hope your Easter was pleasant

And hi @outlander  - I hope your Easter was at least peaceful and you are feeling okay.

Re: A long rave

Hi @outlander   hope you're feeling a little (at least) better and that today has some positives in it.

Hello @Owlunar   there's so much in the garden.  Rocket, basil, tomatoes, chilli, bananas, passionfruit, avocado, fig, pumpkin, zucchini, lemon, cumquat, lime, mandarine, mint, chocolate mint, vietnamese mint, chinese greens tat soi and mizuna, parsley, lettuce, sage, warragul greens, purslaine, tarragon, lemon myrtle, lemon verbena, rosemary, chives, leek, spring onions, coriander, guava, pawpaw, lemon grass, bay leaf tree ... probably more that I can't remember right now.  It's so abundant.  Not all ready to harvest yet, we did our seasonal overhall recently so several of those things are just seedlings atm.  There are 4 of us eating from it plus we've been sharing bunches of rocket in the neighbourhood.  And have a bunch of bananas ripening in the kitchen.

I'm so lucky to be here in these times with family (bro, sil and her mum) and the garden.

Today's planned peer mentoring zoom session and phone call from support worker were cancelled so I'll be around for a while.

Need to do a coles online order later.

Re: A long rave

@TAB  yes I'm finding it's helpful for me to have some semblance of a healthy routine.  Have put quite a few flexible things in it which helps me e.g. different activities in the early afternoon.
