Re: Life can be a Pain

😰Phew, thanks Dec, shouldn't have to ask but know you'd be objective. Appreciate you, and try not to worry about your visit, maybe just tell her your concerns upfront. Sleep well tonight 🌷🌿

Re: Life can be a Pain

Thanks @Former-Member

I can't do anything until Friday and whatever happens will happen - I have thought that my specialist might want to retire - other people have been busy retiring in my life and this could happen but I am not going to worry about it until it happens

But this doctor does care about her patients - and I always have the nervous-nellies for days before I see her - life will continue though

I went to sleep watching TV darn it - but I had been pretty hashed out after days of fighting with that printer - I think I will sleep tonight

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Owlunar are you still around?

Re: Life can be a Pain

Sorry @outlander

Obviously I was not around - but you had a sick sister last night and your anxiety was sky-high -

I understand

And @Former-Member

Anyway - I have a letter from my doctor for my pain specialist - it's short and to the point. I don't need a list - I feel better since my mother died - I am taking less medication but need what I am taking - I almost know what it's going to be like - and I will not take my pain medication after my morning dose so is I have pain she can see what it's like

I always get nervy about seeing her yet she is a kind person. There are a lot of Health Department rules about the medication I am taking but my GP has written that I need it and I have reduced my doses on my own - and my self-esteem has improved

So - it's Wednesday - and tonight my favourite TV programme This is Us is on - I can hardly wait for each episode but it never turns out the way the preview makes it seem

Okay - we have had a lovely sunny day today - I slept in and I think I have finished my chores for today - time to put my walking shoes on and go out before the sun sets - in about 2 hours

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi Outlander, you stay strong. 🌷
@Owlunar, sounds like its under control really, and i am so impressed you've reduced your own analgesia. Gotta fond that balance. // Looked up your show 'This is Us" + looks interesting. What do you like about it most?

I've had a VERY quiet day, nothing, just resting. My back has settled, haven't talked to anyone all day and its very cold. Got depressed looking up online abc news, all the global happenings are bad 😞 so I put on a movie.

I found a dvd at the op shop - "Sherlock" (the modern series first episode) there's a couple of phrases that cracked me up totally: Sherlock was frustrated that the other police couldn't keep up with his brilliant mind, he said "oh my, what's it like in those tiny little minds of yours - it must be so boring" 😅😃😅😄😃 Then later he he meets up with farensic pathologist he doesnt like tries to contribute the obvious at a scene, Sherlock says
"Anderson, please don't speak out loud, you lower the IQ of the entire street" bahaha
I must be warped because these comments are so rude yet i laugh out loud. Guess i neef se laughter herapy a good belly laugh can help. Wakes the dog up too, haha 😉

Re: Life can be a Pain

I find those kind of dry witty lines funny too @Former-Member 🙂 havent watched sherlock, might have to put it on the list now.

Re: Life can be a Pain

I love British humour @Former-Member - in fact I am British - I am over Anglo-Celtic heritage even though I was born here in Australia - my father and his parents were close and they were all English

I think those comments are hilarious - my stars "What's it like in those tiny little minds of yours?" and "Anderson, please don't speak out loud - you'll lower the IQ of the whole street"

I would be rolling around on the floor laughing so loud my belly would ache - I have done this - even watching episodes of M*A*S*H I have seen over and over I still wait for those bits and fall apart roaring - and  collapsing on the floor - I think my neighbours know that there are three episodes every week night and they can hear me - well - let them - I love a belly laugh too

I have been gifted with a high IQ and it is a gift - I guess I have used it and sharpened it but I love wit - British humour is witty, satirical, sometimes cruel, usually a sentence has several different meanings. I would love to share a good British whodunit with someone

Great subject
