Re: Loneliness

Hey there @PeppyPatti 🙂🌺

thanks for your kind words - I really appreciate it 💜🙂

Happy to be helping out 🙌🏻☺️

that new Brother machine looks all fresh and ready to go!
At the moment, I have an old Janome I bought when I was 15 so it’s now 36 years old.
ivd had it serviced a couple of times but the guy I used to go to retired, so I’m not sure where to take it these days.
My overlocker is a little old Singer, which I bought when I was around 18.
maybe I should invest in some new equipment! 🤭

those new controls on the Brother look like electronic rather than mechanical - would it be a combination of buttons to press to get a certain program, I wonder? Looks fascinating, and I hope the instructions are helpful 🌺🙂

I hope you really enjoy it!

Re: Loneliness

It's a bit loud when working @Former-Member

I bought this little machine from Spotlight. It's definately not the best place to purchase from.I should have gone to the Janome store but it is how it is.

The instructions are not as good as Janome. The machine is louder as well.  I have a great little Janome I bought second hand about 3 years ago but iv done something to the needle -

Now iv got two great machines.

I quite like it but I think I'll be looking on Utube for a long time how to use this little machine. Like I wrote the instructions are not detailed ..,.

I could find a sewing course online too. Just as long as the teacher isn't a know it all 20 year old....lol

@Former-Member  hope you rest well tonight.

I'm going to make a hot chocolate shortly

Dearest @EternalFlower

Yes I know that - been away for a while because a lot going on.....

Different than you though.

Iv been quite dizzy emotional lately. .

On my NDIS Iv messed up a pile of appointments in the past 7 weeks. I had a sleeve gastric in my stomach and it's been amazing for me.

Now, today, I'm realising again.....whenever I go on that anaesthetic and have an operation I don't think properly for ages ...

Re: Loneliness

Dear @Zoe7

You have children don't you ?

Apologies if I got this wrong.

Iv found some great radios hearing on my mobile the app is called ' my Tuner Radio. I went into Sacramento Radio ( thinking it's California ?? ) and listening to 70s music. It's so cool.....

Loneliness is awful. I don't think my youngest son thinks I understand him and he's angry about it because he may feel isolated and lonely.

Possibly his  isolation is not permanent.

I think he over dwells on stuff from the past......

I keep on dreaming he is still a little child.

Sewing and reading keep me sane

Hello to all. happy April's Fools Day 🐰🌿

It is lovely having connections from so many years ago.

Its really helps to have all the people on the forum sharing and supporting and just being themselves. Bit of a reality check.
