im just waiting to see a psychiatrist, which i dont know how long thats going to be and there going to take me off one med and start me on another. i thinks thats the plan. not sure yet.

so it will be another med change over but apparently this new med is really good for anxiety. so ill just have to wait and see.

@Bubbles3 it can be good to develop a bit of a go-to list of things to do when you are feeling anxious and overwhelmed, because in that moment and in that state, it can be hard to think, and slow things back down to a more manageable state.

That's where a Coping Box can be a good place to keep print-outs of breathing exercises for instance, and self-grounding activities. I saw some last night as memes, so I will find them and post them here if you like. I might put them under the Coping Box thread too ..... for anyone else who finds them useful.

I know you like to draw, but adult colouring in books are good too.

Music is a go-to for me. I use ear-buds and my phone for that.

If you make a list of favourite go-to activities, you can also add support service contact numbers to the bottom of the page, and remember that online chat services are available here, and with others like LifeLine and Beyond Blue or Butterfly Foundation.

its only been crazy the last month coz of my med change. i was a nuts before that to hahaha probably still am

Hey dear @Bubbles3, 

It took me about 5 or 6 medications later and I finally found 'the right one' for me, and it is excellent.  It has fewer extrapyramidals and one of the side effects is 'euphoria', which I'm over the moon about.  It totally blocks out my 'mother's voice', which means I can lead a happy life. So I encourage you to have hope and persevere dear sweetie @Bubbles3.  It will all work out for you.

I don't suffer anxiety or depression, seldomly now.  The drug I take treats depression anyway also and is totally relaxing. This drug is a life-line for me.  Straight out of God's pharmacy.
