Thanks for your support as always @outlander you are so kind. So the doctor Suggested I go to hospital before I even brought it up, but my insurance doesn't cover it and it's almost $400 a night gap. He made some calls for me. He's given me a lady's phone number to ring who is going to see if I can switch to another private health provider with no waiting period. Now I have to go home and tell my mum. I will read over again what you wrote to me @Former-Member because it seemed like good advice. I just hope it comes out right when I try to say it. My partner won't be home until later tonight so I will have to talk to him later. The doctor has also doubled one of my tablets and added another one. And I have to get a whole heap of blood tests including MTHFR gene mutation test and zinc and copper. I found it so hard to concentrate towards the end of the session so I didn't ask why I would be tested for those things (apart from the MTHFR - my mum has that gene mutation and keeps hounding me to get tested). Any ideas? I also told him about you guys and this forum and he said he's glad I'm on here. And I told him about my drinking and he's agreed I need to stop right now. He has given me some YouTube clips to watch about mindfulness and stuff - I can post the links later if anyone is interested and if that's allowed. He said I need to change my private health cover regardless because it might not be an option later down the track and I might need to be in hospital

I know they do tests for thyroid and iron and a few other things as it can affect depression and anxiety levels as well

Im glad your psych has suggested hospital. Please take that advice and ring those people to see what they can do.
You deserve and need this treatment
Your mum and hubby will understand too. This will allow them to better understand your mental state as well.
Im glad hes doing what he can for you by increasing the dose and giving you those coping strategies

And even if you do go to hospital im happy to know you have some supports outside the forums too

Yes he's put thyroid and iron on there too. I'll have no blood left at the end of the tests cos there's so many! @outlander you are so sweet and caring, totally agree with @Former-Member . Thank you for all your support. @utopia I forgot to tag you in my previous post about how it went with the psych if you wanted to have a read xx
