OD- one daily? i wasnt taught that beleive it or not, they taught 2 3 and 4 times a day but not jsut the one! 

oh duh i didnt even think to use the weeks abbreviation!! 

is there an abbreviation for presription? there was an Rx but thats treatment but no prescribtion appreviation?

ps you still sound cute when your using your nursing terms. (feel free to throw some at me, loving using these )

@outlander, I have never used 365 term, nor has any other nurse. There's just too much to write there!!!

So those terms mean exactly what it states-once a day, twice a day or three times a day. If you want to be specific, especially if analgesia or other medication that has specific timing, you can state q8h (every 8hours), q12h, etc.If you take these meds less than those timings, you risk potential chronic toxicity. Hmm, I need to be careful here of SANE guidelines hun.

Rx actually mean prescription (to take). Most abbreviations are from the latin terminology.

I am struggling with words today as I just had a tricky phone call to deal with, and my head's in a bit of mess. I will discuss on my thread when I can sort out how to write about it. This is where I need @PhoenixRising, who despite her protests at being in frequent muddles, is actually a very smart turtle and writes incredibly well.

Well stop doing it? We all are suffering & doing it hard outlander. You need to stop causing yourself extra stress by talking about everything that's wrong & put your energy into just living. I'm here in terrible pain & Virus yet I'm resting doing things that are helping me relax best I can? Life isn't easy yet we all have our weights to bare. People can not make things right for us & we can bring them down with us if we were dumping on them.
I know you support others & this I love about you very much.
Time to support yourself just like you do Sans911 & Nell23? I've read all you write to them. Why don't you practice what you preach? For your self, I have to do it, now just do it for yourself & help yourself like I know & believe you can?
