Yes, those canals used to be used to transport goods in riverboats, like you said @Sophia1

There's no public holiday here today, unlike NSW. We had WA day public holiday, the previous weekend.

So today was a normal work day here.

A beautiful old riverboat fully restored, that sounds lovely.

The weekend was tough, I'm sorry to say.

I had someone follow me out from the supermaket all the way to my car, to beg money from me - for the 3rd time in 5 days (that was yesterday afternoon).

It's become too triggering, simply because it's happened so often in just a few days - & because I had struggled physically just to drive myself there (to the shops).

I had a meltdown over it, not recovered yet, felt very unsafe.
