Morning, @Former-Member. Just logged on and wandered over to say hi for when you are awake. Hope you've slept well. My tally for last night was about 5 hours, not too bad. I wonder what the new day has for you. I'll be staying home to wait for a handyman to do some work where the flat leaked during the recent big rain. Hope today is a good one for you.

Good morning @Mazarita, Your a wonderful person and this is a wonderful place I'm probably just going to abuse this priviledge - you know for my Good mornings and Good nights; and to tell my little every day stories, like - I found a little Turtle on my first walk in the forest after the rain. There's no a lot of water in there, a couple dams; the tracks looked like waterfalls had been flowing there and what dams there are must have overflown. I left him where he was, I've only ever come across one peron on a horse in there (quite some time ago), though there are tyre tracks sometimes, not many would be silly enough to go in a vehicle after rain. So he was pretty safe and the best thing for me to do was move along with my dogs 🙂 As soon as I saw him, I thought of this place, somewhere where I could share 🙂
I am very lucky, that once I sleep . . . I sleep. The pattern is changing a little, but nothing too serious. 5 hours is definately better than 50 minutes, good on you 🙂 I don't have anything planned for today, I might start googling somewhere to go camping, somewhere isolated and private. The only thing that stops me is me, but I can still look and plan and who knows, maybe one day, I'll do it 🙂
Here's hoping the handyman finds the leak damage easy to fix, and is in and out in no time! and that your day is bright and happy 🙂

I love today's story, @Former-Member. Coming across a person on a horse while you are on a forest walk sounds like something from a nineteenth-century novel. Sounds like the turtle walk was the best though. Seems wise that you left it to its own wandering. Camping alone in a private place, is it something you've done before. A friend from down south has done that. I find it brave and admirable. I'd be too nervous, but I think it would be an amazing experience. Googling is a good place to start lots of things. And even if it doesn't happen, there's been the pleasure of dreaming. Gotta go do the dishes now in case the handyman arrives early.

I used to do it all the time @Mazarita, I've never really liked people (well maybe not 'liked' more not trusted) I knew the spots to pick, maybe broke a few rules (private properties and the likes), but I found if you went to non-public spots that vehicles couldn't get too, you'd have them all to yourself. But I'm too old to hike with a tonn on my back now - so it's back to the drawing board 🙂
They still use horses quite a bit out here, for the really rough, hard to get to spots; they're still the best form of transport for those area's 🙂 Though sometimes you hear the helicopters (must be rich property owners!), but if they can't scare the beasts out, and with times being pretty tough the past few years, they will go and get them.
Something else I wanted to share, a couple of days ago, I picked the bl**dy broom up! I got no less than a bucket (I use one to empty the dustpan into) of dirt out of my house! Another thing that instantly made me think of here - and how people here can realize how such a simple task can be such a huge thing! 🙂 Good on you for doing the dishes! Mine are stacking up a bit, but I need to focus on the green sea, which is no longer a sea and is now definately a rain forest of grass in my backyard 😄

@Former-Member, a bucket of dirt, that's impressive! Bet things feel a bit lighter to be rid of it too. Just as well I don't have grass. It would be an ever growing forest if it was mine to look after.

Hi @Former-Member, got your 'like' just now and thought I'd wander over for a visit. How's your day been? I'm guessing you will be off to bed very shortly as it's very close to the pumpkin hour.

That's right @Mazarita, just popped on to say Good Night 😉
I got a little mowing done. Hope the maintenance was quick and easy today 🙂
I couldn't find the turtle hugging kitten @Faith-and-Hope, but I've got a picture in my mind 😄
Sleep well everyone
