@Former-Member yep, most definitely. Sometimes you know what's being discussed that time; sometimes you're unsure. Regardless you are probably trying to hold emotions in check, I know I do, and youll probably be triggered. You come out the other side feeling beat.

I just discovered this poem on fb memories that I wrote for Remembrances Day. I usually write a poem every Anzac day; well, for last few years.


Soldiers fought in the trenches in Gallopi,
to the battlefileds of other foreign shores
From rifles, swords and bare-fists hands
Now they fight in the deserts in Aghanistan
With tanks, weapons and high tech guns,
No matter how or what they fight with,
It is always with one sacrifical goal
to keep you safe at home and shore,
This is what they are fighting for,
For this day of Remembrance today,
Remember this and bow your head in respect,
Let your throat swell and eyes fill with tears,
May your heart fill with pride & you fists raised in cheers,
These folk fought such a galiant fight,
They gave their lives for you.
