@Former-Member,
the last thing I want to do is trigger you with this conversation. (read on with caution please)
You are not a bludger, you are a person in recovery from M.I. Just like myself.
Your lifestyle is different to that of an employed person, true, but I don't think it is inferior. I guess I am different to you because I shun the rat race and I am grateful to have left it. Sometimes it is hard not having much money- but it comforts me to think that I am living the way the vast majority of people in the world live.
Pleople in so many countries throughout the world just live with the basics- a bit of flour or rice and one set of clothes and that is it. And yet they do have thriving communities and they do have happiness in their lives.
I told all this to my sister when she complained of not having much money and she got really angry with me! Such a strong reaction from her. She can't afford designer shoes and so she is very unhappy....
I am not saying that you are in anyway like my sister @Former-Member! Don't get me wrong. I'm sure you don't go to sleep at night dreaming about designer shoes and hairstyles and Moet champagne. I am just saying that my opinions seem to be unusual and seem to provoke very strong negative reactions in people at times.....
For me, at least, having something to do, that I can get my teeth into, sure beats having money to spend. I guess I have always been like this. It is an unusual way to think of things and I guess not everyone can relate.
I wish you every happiness, @Former-Member.
